We began our journey as a worship movement on the American frontier, out of a need for communal worship. Clergy were often few and far between, and so early Disciples decided to take Communion into their own hands!

They practiced a lay-led, nondenominational worship service, a place where everyone was welcome to come to the table. All the things that would divide us - doctrines and dogmas, cultural prejudices and practices - were set aside. That's also why we've chosen the red chalice the symbol of our denomiation.

In continuation of our tradition, we practice an open table every Sunday. Wherever you come from, wherever you're going, the table is open to you!
